From childhood I had a fascination for re-creating what I saw around me. I felt a great need to draw and paint and bring to life that which I could see. I spent summers on my grandparent's ranch in Utah. I have traveled to various parts of the Southwest. In so doing I developed an abiding love for the region's indigenous cultures and peoples. I felt a sense of wonder for the stark red rock canyons, clear blue skies and precious waterways. I have always felt that the earth is the classroom and Mother Nature my mentor and guide.
